Types of rentals:
When it comes to rental and subscription services, there's no one-size-fits-all approach. Sharpei gives you the possibility of offering different types of rentals. You can offer more than one at the same time, and different types of rentals for the different products you have:
Daily rentals: The customer chooses how many days they want to rent the product, the easiest way of doing this is using a calendar view. The payment should be upfront, and the client must wait for the rental period to finish in order to return the product.
Monthly subscriptions: The only difference with a monthly rental is that the customer will be able to return the product anytime.
Lease-to-own: The customer chooses how many months they want to rent the article for. In this case the easiest way of doing this is using a month selector. The most common plans are 1, 3, 6, 12 & 24. The payments are usually done monthly, and the client must wait for the rental period to finish in order to return the product.
The customer has the option to either buy the item at a discount or return the object at the end of the process.
(COMING SOON)Try-before-buy: The customer will be able to try the product for a period of time, we recommend that this does not exceed 30 days. After that the client can decide to either purchase the product or return it (We recommend to make them pay a fee as if they would have rented the item for a month if they decide to return it).
(COMING SOON) Second-hand reselling: If you no longer want to rent a product, you can put it up for sale as a second-hand product directly from your website:
In total, Sharpei gives you six different implementations options for your products.
